California Gold Mining At your Site or Ours!

K-12th grade: "California Gold Mining: Hands-on History” This age-appropriate presentation, taught by our experts, brings the claim to you! We bring all the equipment and material for students to get a taste of gold mining. Students will learn stories of the California Gold Rush, learning the language and vocabulary of gold mining, and be exposed to the tools and tricks of the trade. All students will get to pan for gold in our authentic gold-rich pay dirt from the heart of gold country. Every student will walk away with their first flake, picker or nugget of real gold.
2 hours $30.00 per student minimum 30 students plus additional transportation fees apply. We travel all over California!

K-12th grade: "California Gold Mining: Hands-on History” This age-appropriate presentation, taught by our experts at our gold claim in Jamestown, CA! We provide all the equipment and material for students to get dirty and do some hands-on gold mining. Students will learn stories of the California Gold Rush, learning the language and vocabulary of gold mining, and be exposed to the tools and tricks of the trade. All students will get to try their skills at panning in Woods Creek, which is rich in gold paydirt, right in the heart of CA gold country. Every student will walk away with their first flake, picker or nugget of real gold.

S.T.E.M. of Gold Mining
6-12th grades (OUR CLAIM OR AT YOUR SITE)
6-12th grade: STEM Engineering of Gold Mining. In this age-appropriate presentation, older students will explore and get to try the many unique machines used in gold recovery. They will learn the history and see how physics, biological/ecological and geological sciences all contribute to this industry sector.
Career exploration is also showcased. Students will explore, gold wheels, sluice boxes, gold classifiers and the many different designs of gold machines and pans that harness, force, motion and fine gold extraction. Students will get to pan for gold and try out the different machines, as well as walk away with real California Gold.
