California Gold Story

The year was 1849.
A new sense of adventure was in the air. Gold strikes in California and it raced across the world like a wildfire on an open prairie. Farmers, bakers and others left their lives behind in search of the promise to riches. While traveling to the promised land, many individuals faced many obstacles such as diseases while traveling through South America, hostile and deadly Native Americans, grizzly bears, deadly rattlesnakes, heat strokes in the deserts and freezing temperatures over the mountain passes. Some travelers never reached their destination. All they left behind was a grieving family and a mound of dirt with a wooden stake on it where they would rest for eternity. Others made it to the gold fields and had a chance to find their riches. Some left with pockets full of gold while other left broken and penniless.

Times have changed a bit, but the lore of gold still makes your heart race. The dream of finding gold still runs through the veins of every man, woman and child. To hold a piece of gold in your hand that you dug out of the earth fills your mind with fantasies of riches.
Today, we have it a bit less difficult than the 49'ers. We can drive to our destination, buy an ice cold soda when we are dying in thirst and grab a slice of pizza when we are hungry.

What hasn't changed?
Like every miner, we still have to put a shovel in the ground and find the elusive metal we call gold. We still have to look for it and take the time to find, there isn't an app available yet to locate gold, but we are help to help. We can help you fulfill the fantasy or dream of finding a little bit of that gold. We have sampled areas to find the best places for you to look. Be it flour gold, gold flakes or a nugget, we do the hardest part for you. We find where the gold should be and let you dig it out of the ground. It is still not easy, digging in the dirt is hard work. You earn the gold you keep. When you are done with us you will leave with dirt on your face, sweat on your brows, water in your boots and a smile as big as the moon.

Panning for gold in California is fun and exciting!
